01

Open the Setup Page

On your computer, open a web browser and go to the address below.

microsoft.prestontrail.org
02

Sign In With the Info We Gave You

Enter the email address PTCC Tech provided, then enter the temporary password.

💡
Tip The temporary password only works for this first sign-in — you'll create your own in Step 5.
03

Download Microsoft Authenticator on Your Phone

Keep following the steps on your computer. When it asks you to set up your sign-in, it will tell you to get the Microsoft Authenticator app. On your phone, open the App Store and download it.

Get Microsoft Authenticator
04

Add Your Account & Scan the QR Code

Open Microsoft Authenticator on your phone, then add your account:

1. Tap the + in the top-right corner.

2. Choose Work or school account.

3. Choose Scan QR code.

4. Point your phone's camera at the QR code shown on your computer to scan it.

💡
Tip If the app asks for permission to use your camera, tap Allow — it needs the camera to scan the code.
05

Finish the Prompts & Create Your Password

Keep following the prompts on your computer until it asks you to change your password. Create a new password you'll remember.

06

Save Your Email & New Password

Write down — and keep — your email address and your new password. You'll use both again in Part 2.

Part 1 Done Your Microsoft account is set up. Now grab your phone for Part 2.
01

Download the Outlook App

On your phone, open the App Store and download Microsoft Outlook. Sign in with the email and new password from Part 1.

Get Microsoft Outlook
02

Open the Email From UniFi Endpoint

In Outlook, find the email from UniFi Endpoint, open it, and tap the link inside. The link will prompt you to install the Endpoint app — that's the next step.

💡
Don't see it? Give it a couple of minutes, then check your Junk folder. If it still hasn't arrived, reach out to PTCC Tech.
03

Install the Endpoint App

After you tap the link, you'll be prompted to install the UniFi Endpoint app from the App Store. Tap to install it. Once it finishes, return to the email and tap the link again if the app doesn't open on its own.

Get UniFi Endpoint
04

Follow the Prompts & Tap "Allow"

Once the Endpoint app opens, it walks you through setup. Tap Allow on every step — this is what lets your phone act as your key.

⚠️
Say "Allow" to Everything Don't tap Don't Allow on any prompt — if you do, your phone key won't work and you'll have to start this part over.
05

Add It to Your Wallet

When it asks to add to your Wallet, tap Allow. That's the last step!

🎉 You're all set!

Your phone is now your key to campus. When you arrive, tap your phone in the middle of the door reader and wait for the chime. That chime means the door is unlocked — you're in!

If a door doesn't open, make sure you completed both parts and tapped Allow on every prompt in the Endpoint app. If your pass didn't get added, re-open the email from UniFi Endpoint and go through the prompts again.
