Conference Room
& Classroom Remote
Every conference room and classroom has a little black remote tucked into a wall holder near the TV. It runs the TV — power, source switching, volume — plus the Apple TV when that's what you're using. Here's a quick tour so you can run the room with confidence.
Before You Begin
What This Remote Does
Meet the Remote
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| TV Power (small white, top left) | Powers the TV on or off. You'll press this every time. |
| Apple TV Power (big red, top right) | Powers the Apple TV on or off. Press this when you'll be using the Apple TV. |
| Input (top middle, square arrow) | Cycles through the TV's available inputs — Apple TV plus anything else connected to that TV. |
| 🔊 + 🔉 − (left column) | TV volume up and down. |
| 🔇 Mute (between the volume buttons) | Silences the TV instantly. Press again to unmute. |
| OK + arrows (big circle) | Apple TV navigation. Arrows move; the center button selects. |
| ← Back · 🏠 Home | Apple TV navigation. Back goes one screen back; Home returns to the Apple TV home. |
| ⏪ ⏯ ⏩ | Apple TV playback. Rewind, play/pause, fast-forward. |
White for the TV, red for the Apple TV, Input to switch sources, speakers for volume. That's 95% of what you'll ever do — and now the conference room and classroom TVs are yours to run.
Troubleshooting & Support
Nothing happens when I press a button. The batteries are likely dead — submit a ticket in the PT Support app and Tech will swap them.
The TV is on but I see a black screen or the wrong source. Press Input (square-arrow button, top middle) to cycle through the TV's inputs until you see what you need.
Volume buttons don't seem to work. Make sure you're pressing the buttons with speaker icons on the left side of the remote.
The remote is missing from a room. Submit a ticket — sometimes they wander off to other rooms. We can usually track it down or get a replacement quickly.
